Flatbreads are some of the most fun recipes to experiment with, especially since it is hard to get it “wrong.” This fruity and savory flatbread makes a great partner to our 2014 Carr Pinot Noir, Yard Vineyard. The bright berry flavors and earthy undertones of the Pinot match well with the apples, raspberry, and cheese flavors in this recipe.
Root veggies take the cake for winter and fall comfort recipes, and they pair SO well with the 2013 CrossHatch “Shading,” a co-fermented blend of Grenache and Syrah. While slightly floral, this wine has hints of licorice and fig, which makes it a superb wine for gamey, roasted meats and root vegetables.
Since the leaves don’t change here in Santa Barbara, we are getting our fall color fix from this vibrant pasta dish. Bursting with both color and flavor, it needs an equally exciting wine. Pair it with a bottle of our wine club exclusive 2014 Carr Pinot Noir 777 and your taste buds are sure to be in taste bud heaven.
Cabernet Franc is a Carr classic. Full bodied, yet smooth. Herbal, yet fruit forward. Elegant, yet sassy. Grab a bottle of the newest 2014 Carr Cabernet Franc and see for yourself! This vintage is bursting with aromas of fresh cut poblano pepper, flavors of black cherry and cracked white pepper, and finishes with lengthy, herbal hints. This is a wine like no other.
We are excited to announce the release of our 2014 Carr Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir! With bright acidity, red fruit, and subtle woody earth, this wine club exclusive is the perfect red wine to enjoy as we reach the end of summertime. The gentle hints of tart fruit in this Pinot nicely compliment this sunny kumquat chicken recipe. Easy enough for weeknights, but elegant enough to impress all your guests, this pairing is sure to light up your evenings in the coming cool weather.
