#2. The Food
Start your day with a cappuccino and a pastry at the Baker’s Table. Enjoy lunch on the patio, sip local wines and indulge in modern Italian farm to table dishes at SY Kitchen. Dine at the Brothers Restaurant at the Red Barn for legendary service, innovative “made from scratch” cuisine, and a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere.
#3. The Shopping
Tucked away on the corner of Numancia and Faraday streets less than a block from the Carr Warehouse is the new Finch and Fern, a home and garden boutique. Be sure to also make a stop at locally owned, Plenty Boutique and Sage of Santa Ynez for home goods and women’s clothing.
#4. The Stay
The Santa Ynez Inn and For Friends Inn are boutique hotels in the heart of town within walking distance to the tasting room. Stay at either location and receive a free wine tasting at Carr Winery.
#5. The Views
Just a 1/2 hour from Santa Barbara and 2 hours north of Los Angeles, lies the beautiful town of Santa Ynez. Take highway 154 to view the mountains shimmering in green after the rain and lake Cachuma with a pit stop at Cold Spring Tavern. On your way out of town take highway 101 for stunning views of the blue ocean and mountains starting to get covered in yellow mustard and wild flowers.
