Featured in the latest 805 Living’s September 2023 Issue is our exceptional 2018 Paredon Vineyard Grenache. With the soil composition primarily made up of rich red clay soils, the Paredon Vineyard grapes are complex and distinct. This unique micro-climate can be attributed to its proximity to the Pacific, as it sits high in the cliffs of Carpinteria, California. This Grenache has a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers and herbs that is followed by a soft deep mouthfeel that finishes with an explosion of ripe fruits and spices.
“A few miles west of Shepard Mesa is further proof that the hills of Carpinteria hold viticultural promise. In 2000, Ryan Carr planted Paredon Vineyard, a cresting property overlooking Toro Canyon. From the fruit of those vines, Carr Winery (carrwinery.com), which has a tasting room in Santa Barbara, made 278 cases of its $45 – a – bottle 2018 Paredon Vineyard Grenache.”
