We can’t think of anything better than pairing this rich Lobster Mac and Cheese our 2012 Carr Chardonnay (Tasting Room exclusive). This is our first Chardonnay done completely in French oak barrels and the rich butterscotch and apricot notes are perfectly accompanied with this dish.
With the holidays fast approaching we are creating great shipments for our Cluster and Pinot Wine Club Members that will be going out in the beginning of December. We decided to include one of our favorite library wines for our Pinot Noir Club. We recently opened the 2006 Carr Pinot Noir from Lindsay’s Vineyard and it is incredibly smooth with some earthy Burgundian qualities and holiday spices. The wine goes great with this Roast Pork recipe.
Now that the holidays are near and the weather is starting to cool off we thought we might share this great recipe. It is a great quick recipe when you are busy and on the go. Paired with our 2012 Carr Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County this is the greatest comfort meal on a chilly evening.
Who doesn’t love chocolate and wine. It is such a great combination and when you add berries to the equation it is just that much better. Our favorite wine to pair with chocolate is our Morehouse Vineyard Syrah. There is something about this particular Vineyard that tastes so incredibly delicious when paired with dark chocolate. We found this recipe thanks to Cast Sugar and just knew it would be a match made in heaven with our 2012 Carr Syrah, Morehouse Vineyard.
Tierra Alta is one of the most beautiful properties in Ballard Canyon with its steep rolling hills. It bordered the property Ryan lived on when he first started Carr Winery and was living in Santa Ynez. This vineyard is special and that is why Ryan decided to create a single barrel of this Syrah just for our Luxury and Vintage Club members to enjoy. It won’t even make it into the tasting room and you must be in one of these two clubs to get one of these exclusive bottles!
We chose to pair this exclusive wine with a comforting ragout because beef is a great pairing for Syrah and this recipe just melts in your mouth and is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
