Kessler-Haak Vineyard
Kessler-Haak Vineyard is a twenty-nine acre vineyard located on Highway 246 in the cooler northwestern section of Sta. Rita Hills. It was planted in 2005 with 26 acres of Pinot Noir and 3 acres of Chardonnay. The property is made up of rolling hills and valley floor with a mixture of soil types from sandy to sandy loam with patches of clay loam. Yields from the vineyard are low averaging approximately 1.5 – 2 tons to the acre, which result in exceptional, high quality fruit. The first harvest from Kessler-Haak was in 2008. The vineyard is owned by Dan & Ellen Kessler.
